Contributions

Sending proposals

Conference contributions must be unpublished scientific or professional work in the form of a presentation. Proposals must fall within a specific conference section. However, the Selection Committee will be responsible for both accepting work and the final decision about the modality of the presentation and assignation to a specific Section. One contribution per author or registered team will be accepted.

Proposals will be accepted via the registration form following the ABSTRACT FORMAT until June 30, 2020:

- Downloadable template in editable format
- Title in Spanish and English
- 250-300 word abstract in Spanish and English
- 5 keywords in Spanish and English

Acceptance of the complete text and the Selection Committee's decision will be communicated by email to the person signing the document or, in the case of a team, the person who has registered as a participant in the conference starting July 1, 2020.

Policy for writing contributions

The complete contribution must be sent by October 15, 2020.

The work must be consistent with one of the conference sections.

Papers must be written exclusively using the downloadable CONTRIBUTIONS FORMAT (sent in editable format), adhering to the STANDARDS FOR WRITING CONTRIBUTIONS, and must be between 5 and 10 pages.

Publishing contributions

Unless the author objects, all selected contributions will be included in an original publication with ISBN (Conference Proceedings).

The highest quality contributions, as deemed by the Selection Committee, will be subject to publication in a monograph for the section the presentation belongs to with ISBN, as well as in the scientific journal Linguae with its corresponding ISSN. As a result, contributions will undergo a new double-blind revision as established in journal policy as well as pertinent adaptations for the new publication.

Participation certificates

After the conference is completed, speakers will receive an accreditation certificate via email. If a paper copy is needed, it can be requested by writing to the organizers at congresoselm@lenguasmodernas.com, indicating a mailing address.
